At Seattle Mosaic Arts, we are committed to making it easy to learn how to make mosaics. We offer two easy ways to learn mosaics. You may join our studio even as a complete “mosaic novice.” We will guide you through all the steps as you work on your mosaic. Once you get started it is both easy and engrossing.  If you prefer learning in a scheduled class-like setting we also regularly offer introductory classes.
Introduction to Mosaics Class
This is a full day intensive followed by an evening session two days later. Â We will guide you through all the steps, teaching you how to design your mosaic, work with the glass tiles, transferring to the base and much more. You will learn all about how to work with cement and grout as you work on your own projects. At the end of this class you will know how to make mosaics on your own.
The main class is on Saturday, 9:00 to 6:00 then students return  the following Monday at 7:00 p.m. to complete the grouting phase.  Each class focuses on a specific project which can be completed in that time frame and is included in the tuition fee.  Please check back here frequently to see upcoming class schedules.
Spring 2010
Intro to Mosaics: – We will focus on mosaics that make wonderful gifts as the theme while you learn all the basics of making mosaics. Come make a beautiful mirror, tray or trivet and learn all about mosaics in the process.   $150
